natespost.com
Natespost.com is a blog about Nathan Turner’s ”journey from unemployment to online wealth”. It is a very, very new blog, that’s doing well so far. Nate is trying to promote by giving away $50 to whoever is commenting on his blog and subscribing to his feed. It’s worth it, even if you won’t win the $50!
I must warn that what follows next is entirely my uneducated, amateurish, uncouth, humble review:
PRO’s
- a nice looking design, clean, nice logo, organized sidebar
- displays “top commentators”, ”recent comments” and “most recent posts”. Easy to navigate, and comment-friendly
- nate does respond to all the comments he gets, is friendly and willing to help
- has a cool contest going on right now: win 20% of my unemployment check , visit him, maybe he’ll have more contests coming soon. You can win $50 just by commenting and subscribing to his feed
- he has a great sense of humor! Writing about blogging with a sense of irony and humor makes it more fun to read, I like his style
- he documents every step of the way, showing his readers how his traffic, subscribers and revenue increase, making his blog a unique experiment for anyone who’s interested in seeing how you can build a successful blog from the ground up.
- he gives advice and info on anything related to blogging
- has only a few ads so far, and it will definitely not become one of those blogs with more ads than info
- updates his blog very often, writes around once a day
CON’s
- very, very new blog, so does not have a lot of articles (for now!)
- does not have a “categories” section where you can see the articles organized on the topic. But, as I said, it’s a new blog, and there’s basically one main topic: blogging
- I like the design and everything else, don’t have any more CON’s coming to mind
Well, this was it.
I really wish Nate all the best and do hope to see him get from unemplyment to online wealth. I will be checking back, it’s so interesting to see those numbers go up and him getting an inch closer to his goal! Great opportunity to see how to make it in this “business”, directly from a blogger that’s giving you first hand reports every step of the way!

I wish my site had as little cons as Nates. I hope you like beer, since your promoting vegas. Don’t they have free beer out there? I need to move.
11 March 2008, 11:41 amANCA:
Chandler, thanks for stopping by! I always have beer cans in my fridge
Not a big drinker, but I do enjoy beer! Yes, beer is free in Vegas if you’re gambling, you should move here. Put some dollars in the slots, and get all the free beer you’d like. As far as your blog goes, I’m always more than willing to make friends and write reviews, and it does seem interesting and entertaining. Plus, you are so funny! You really made me LOL

Good review of Nates blog. You got good blog as well.
Anca, Should we form a small group and share opinions about our blogs and any other money making opportunities we come across?
Siva.

Thank you for your comment, Siva! I appreciate it. And that’s a good idea you have. I would like that very much, I already feel part of a small community every time I interact with people and leave comments on the blogs I like. If we can form a small community, I think it would be very constructive, we can share marketing ideas, traffic opportunities, and help each other grow. Plus it would attract other people to join us! Nice thought, Siva. Keep in touch

Thanks, Anca…I didn’t expect that much! You’re great. And yes, chandler, they do bring you free beer in Vegas, but I once lost $85 on a craps table waiting on my “free” beer.
11 March 2008, 12:49 pmANCA:
Was a pleasure, Nate. And that’s what they want you to do, lose more until they come back with the drink. I don’t think Chandler would like that (they take a long time to bring you anything, and only one at a time), unless the cocktail waitress is extra nice

Hey,
Nice work. Although I feel the font is a bit too big for the eye. But keep blogging. It takes anergy and perseverance of course.
Many thanks,
