How To Win Big In Vegas

     1.    Look for the progressive slots, which are those who have rapidly increasing amounts of money on the top, for example “1,001..1,002…1,010…”. Choose those who have high progressives, like over a million dollars. If you’re spending your money on gambling anyway, why not play the progressives? In case you do hit those three wheels of fortune, you’ll be set for life :)

     2.   Hit the tables! You can lose big, or win big here. Yeah, that 5 dollar bill will last you a while in the penny slots, but you will eventually loose it. Play it at the tables, and you can turn it into a 50 in no time.

     3.   A lot of casinos give free table games lessons. Learn how to play craps, for example, from the experts. Why not improve on your skills and take advantage of this offer?

     4.   Learn how to play poker, in Vegas there are lots of poker rooms filled with rich people that have no idea what they’re doing. If you’re good at the game and you’re playing against inexperienced opponents, you can leave from the table with a few thousand dollars.

     5.   Always bet max if you want to win big.

     6.   Instead of spending all your money on gambling and trying to get rich, why not act rich and spend it on yourself? Go to your hotel (Bellagio, of course) in a limo, always wear a suit, tip everybody $10, smoke big cigars (even if it’s not lighted, make sure you’re always seen with one). Try to act like you’re a big winner for one day, even if you’re not.

I was in Vegas several years ago. I spent $18 on the slots. I won a grand total of $0.00. I didnt feel too bad though as I only had that much change. Happy days. Well, no, that was during my first marriage. So Horrible times!! I would love to come back with wifey number two (and my last wife as I plan on having this one for a looooong time) and spend a little money on the poker side of things.

I hope you guys get to come, let me know when you do. Vegas will be very different from what you knew it to be, mega-resorts are constantly being built, and older casinos “put to sleep”

It will probably be some time. She is all preggo’d up and popping out our first child in July, so it could be a couple of years before we get a chance to do that kinda travelling!

  4. ANCA:

Congratulations! A few more months, and you’ll be a daddy! All the best to your wife. Who knows, if we’ll all still be in the blogosphere a few years from now, maybe we’ll organize a blogger meeting in Vegas :)

  5. Sy:

Yeah I think my blog will be non-existent once little one appears. Time will be less forgiving at that point!

A blogger meetup. That could be interesting to organise. People from varying countries all going to one place! Could you imagine trying to get that one together!!

It has happend before. I’ve just written that article about Vegas Meet And Greet in June some time ago. So it is possible to organize something like this. About your blog, I’am not just saying this cuz of an excessively nice blogger-to-blogger behaviour, but you’re staying on a gold mine there. Few people have that combination of great imagination plus a wonderful skill to render it into words that fascinate others. And the whole interactive idea for your blog I think can bring you lots of traffic in the long run, from people who will want to see what wacky story you can create using their own words and ideas.

I guess, Nate, I hear that a lot from people
